in South Korea
has contributed to the growth in South
Korean travelers to Taiwan. To attract
even more visitors, the New Taipei City
Government teamed up with EVA Air to
launch a range of Hello Kitty Jet ticket-
plus-accommodation packages with 10
themed itineraries.
4-day / 3-night tour packages start from
KRW400,000 (tax excluded).The first 5,000
travelers to purchase will receive a coupon
and voucher bookworthover KRW400,000. It
includes a NT$300 car rental service coupon,
five-day mobile internet access, a voucher
for a tour of scenic tunnels, a Taiwanese
pineapple cake gift voucher, and a voucher
to light up the electronic make-a-wish sky
lantern at Pingxi Police Station. There are
also coupons for Carrefour, major
sightseeing spots, six museums, and 15
tourism factories.
New Taipei City has made brochures,
direction signs, and tourism websites in
Korean to create a more backpacking-friendly
environment for South Korean tourists.
EVA Air now operates 34 weekly flights
from Taiwan to South Korea, offering great
flexibility for travelers. Hello Kitty flights in
particular are popular among South Korean
travelers, guaranteeing a fun way to start or
wrap up their trip in NewTaipei City.
