The 2016 Taitung International Balloon Festival
takes place at Luye Plateau in Taitung County. The
festival includes tethered balloon rides, balloon
trips, and a displays of specially themed balloons.
New this year is the hot air balloon challenge,
where 30 pilots from 12 countries will show off
their skills. A light-sculpture concert will tour along
the east coast on Saturdays.
