FUN PING TUNGWITH EVAAIR
From April 1 to May 8 this year, visitors to Longshui borough in Hengchun township,
Pingtung County, will see a rice field transformed into an art installation featuring
an EVA Air airplane robot mascot.
The airline recently teamed up with
the Pingtung International Rice Art
Festival to create the
“
Robot Jet
ķ
Bravo
Romeo
”
installation. Under the guidance
of the Council of Agriculture
’
s Taiwan
Agricultural Research Institute and Miaoli
District Agricultural Research and
Extension Station, Pingtung Rice
Shennong Award winner Lin Qing-yuan
and his team used green, white, yellow,
magenta, and deep-purple rice seedlings
to create the smiling airplane robot
character alongside a depiction of the
ancient Hengchun City Gate.
The agricultural art was designed using
perspective-drawing methods and looks
at its best from an elevated viewing
platform. The platform was constructed
from shipping containers supplied by
Evergreen.
Deeply devoted to Taiwan, EVA Air
promotes Taiwanese scenic areas
internationally and serves up delicious
native Taiwanese food for the enjoyment
of passengers.
In November last year, EVA Air provided
Royal Laurel Class passengers with cold-
pressed pineapple juice made from
seasonally harvested Pingtung pineapples
grown for the export market. The delicious
juice helped international travelers learn
more about Taiwan

s premium agricultural
products.
