A PLACE
FOR EVERYONE TO RELAX AND UNWIND
You don’t have to stay at a spa hotel to experience the city’s natural waters. A short walk away is
Thermae Bath Spa, the centerpiece of which is the contemporary New Royal Bath with its stunning
rooftop pool that affords visitors a bird’s-eye view of the city’s skyline — from its warm sandstone
architecture and elegant Georgian terraces to the surrounding green hills of the Cotswolds.
Secure your spot at one of the bubble-jet benches or grab a float and enjoy a weightless wallow in
the waters before heading down to the Minerva Spa, a sprawling complex featuring a waterfall shower
and several aromatherapy-infused steam rooms. Opened just 10 years ago, Thermae Bath Spa has
returned Bath to its former bathing glory. Several other baths have opened to the public, including the Hot
Bath, which specializes in spa treatments; the Cross Bath, an 18th-century open-air bathing pool; and the
Hetling Pump Room, where a visitor center details the area’s history.
