THE GALLERIA
Located at the corner of Westheimer Road and Post Oak
Boulevard between two of the city’s most elite neighborhoods,
River Oaks and Memorial, the Houston Galleria is the largest
mall in Texas and the most popular attraction in the Greater
Houston area with an annual 35 million visitors. The massive
three million square-foot complex includes 400 shops and
restaurants, two high-rise hotels, a video arcade, two swimming
pools, a children’s play area, international banks, and beauty
salons. A jogging track on the roof around the atrium provides a
view of the 20,000-square-foot public ice-skating facility on the
lower level of the mall.
For dinner, stop by one of the more than 50 restaurants at
The Galleria, with options ranging from fine dining at The
Oceanaire Seafood Room and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle
Steakhouse to casual favorites like the Rain Forest Café and The
Cheesecake Factory. With shops and brands for all tastes and
price ranges, it’s the perfect place to do some last-minute
shopping before you leave — from upscale Prada and Valentino
to mid-market Tory Burch and affordable Zara. It’s no wonder
the Houston Galleria has been ranked one of the world’s best
shopping malls by Forbes.
