Taipei’s Huashan 1914 Creative
Park on June 24 for a special
viewing of Studio Ghibli’s
Animated World. The exhibition
featured 23 scenes from the
Japanese animation house’s
nine famous movies. Many
guests brought their entire
families along to the event.
Matching the festive mood, EVA
Air served up snacks inspired by
Studio Ghibli characters.
The featured movies included
Howl’s Moving Castle, Castle in
the Sky, Kiki’s Delivery Service,
My Neighbor Totoro, and
Spirited Away. The scenes —
ranging from Totoro’s tree hole to
the bakery where Kiki lives, the
flying Laputa, and the bathhouse
where Chihiro works — are 3D
renderings of the originals.
Guests posed for photos with

characters, while children
immersed themselves in Studio
Ghibli’s magical world through
the exhibition’s interactive
installations. Also on display
were original manuscripts for
The Tale of the Princess
Kaguya , marking the first time
they have ever been shown
publicly in Taiwan.
