Despite lacking the size and power of some of the bigger
waterfalls on this list, the Niagara Falls are probably the world’s
best known and most visited. There are actually three waterfalls
here — the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil
Falls — and together, they straddle the border between Canada
and the US.
While Canada has long claimed the best views, the Niagara
Falls Observation Tower on the US side offers a unique
experience. It’s also from here that you can take an elevator down
to the base of the falls for a wet and windy view. The famous
Maid of the Mist
boat tour departs from both sides of the border.
