Surrounded by dense vegetation and flowing over an expansive
orange-brown cliff, the Nohkalikai Falls appear like a bolt of
brightness that strikes down into the blue-green plunge pool
around 340m below. The local Cherrapunji area is officially one
of the wettest places on Earth, and it’s probably best to visit the
falls at the start of the dry season in December when the rains
have eased up but the waterfall is still in full flow.
