Gazelli Art House opened as a contemporary art
gallery in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2003. In 2012, the
London branch — a sleek, two-story space with
floor-to-ceiling windows on Dover Street — was
founded by Mila Askarova to showcase the works of
British and international artists. On view this month
is “I, Cyborg,” a joint exhibition of UK- and
US-based artists whose artwork recognizes the
relationship between humans and a world that is an
increasingly hybridized yet unified entity. It includes
wooden sculptures by the Russian artist group
Recycle Group and interactive installations by
Matteo Zamagni.

Frieze Art Fair
October 6-9 is Frieze London, the annual
contemporary art fair held at the 410 acres of
greenery that is Regent’s Park, featuring
works from over 160 international galleries.
New this year is a section on ’90s exhibitions
t h a t h a d a l o n g - l a s t i n g i m p a c t o n
contemporary art. Also, check out the much-
loved Sculpture Garden for humorous and
titillating outdoor sculptures.
