Ranthambore
National Park (

) is a prime habitat
to see Bengal tigers. From October to June each year, visitors can
travel via open-top six-seater jeeps on safari through the dry
deciduous forest populated with ruins and home to 22 tigers. The
most famous tiger is Machali, a toothless tigress nicknamed
“lady of the lake,” as she is often found along the lakes around
Ranthambore Fort.
