n recent years, Taiwan has become a rising power in the industrial design industry, organizing the World Design Expo in 2011 and
winning the World Design Capital title in 2016. So it’s only natural that the Golden Pin Design Award, the longest-running
international design award for the Chinese-speaking market, is more relevant than ever.
Administered by the Taiwan Design Center and organized by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic
Affairs and assessed by an expert panel of international judges, the Golden Pin Design Award is annually presented to the best
designs in four categories: product design, visual communication design, packaging design, and spatial design.
