“Acousdea is dedicated to delivering a
premium acoustic solution to the world.
We chose to use Taiwanese moso
bamboo and maple due to their natural
acoustic properties. We strongly believe
a combination of natural acoustics,
electronic technology, and unique
speaker design is the way to engage
with today’s culture and become a new
force in speaker design. The company
name ‘Acousdea’ is a portmanteau of
the words “acoustic idea,” which we
believe embodies a concept born of
crystal-clear high frequencies and
dynamic, warm bass.”

“The name “Leopard” was inspired
by the natural texture of the bamboo the
speaker is made from, which resembles
the coat of the legendary, sadly extinct
Formosan clouded leopard. In addition,
the unique cabinet design produces
crystal-clear high-fidelity audio in the
mid to high spectrum. We are very
excited to have the opportunity to reveal
artisan bamboo craftsmanship to the
world with Leopard.”

“If the components of this chair can
be easily disassembled using a mortise-
and-tenon joint system, then it will lower
the cost of transportation and in turn
increase the possibilities for promotion of
the product. The structure of the design
features just two pattern components:
one chair seat and chair leg. The same
chair leg can be sequentially joined,
creating a structure that is classic,
visually appealing, and strong.”
